One Day Montana Fly Fishing School

Montana Fly Fishing School, 1 day clinic

One Day Montana Fly Fishing School

The day is spent on the river which borders Glacier National Park where your guide will spend the early part of the trip focusing on the history of fly fishing, types of equipment, casting techniques, fly identification, knots, presentation, hatches, reading water and fish identification.

Once your guide has gone through the basics of fly fishing and you feel comfortable with a fly rod in your hand, you’ll get back in the boat and head down river to put into practice everything you have learned and land some nice Westslope cutthroat and rainbow trout.

All fishing trips depart from Glacier Outdoor Center. Check in 30 minutes prior to trip departure.

A Montana Fishing License is required for Daily Fly Fishing Trips. Licenses can be purchased at Glacier Anglers Fly Shop and Glacier Outdoor Center prior to departure.
