Our Favorite Things To Do In & Near Glacier National Park
Drive one of the most incredible roads in the country. It spans over 50 miles through the park, and in the middle lies Logan Pass. Depending on traffic, it takes about two hours to drive the entire length of Going-to-the-Sun Road.
Any hike off of Going-to-the-Sun Road will provide a beautiful alpine experience and breathtaking views. Wildlife like mountain goats and bighorn sheep are commonly hanging out. Before going to drive the Going-to-the-Sun Road, it is a good idea to check the Road Status Page for closure information as it’s often not open till mid-June.
During your Glacier visit, be sure to spend time on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. To put it simply, there is nothing else like it. This river is fed by the glaciers of the park, the water is crystal clear, and is surrounded by pristine wilderness. It is certainly a river to remember.
