First Dates for First Descents

Longtime Glacier Outdoor Center employee Kelsey Klevenberg is always up for a challenge, has a big heart and is willing to go the extra miles. And miles. And miles. Kelsey is gearing up to run the White River 50 Mile Trail Run.  And because just doing the run isn’t enough, he’s going to do it for a good cause!  Kelsey is using his run to help raise money for First Descents, an outdoor adventure therapy non-profit for young adults with cancer.  And, to put the cherry on top of this fundraising sundae, he’s hosting/participating in an auction of eligible bachelors/bachelorettes. A little random, but you should meet him–this is totally typical!

If you are in the West Glacier area this Thursday, July 28th please join the crew at Freda’s Bar in West Glacier (it is easy to find because it is the only one) at 9:00 p.m. to bid on your favorite single person and help raise money to support First Descents. Glacier Outdoor Center has been a long-time advocate and supporter of First Descents. First Descents was started by local kid-done-good Brad Ludden, and Glacier Outdoor Center always provides kayak volunteers to offer instruction and river safety to the First Descents participants when the programs are held in our area. This year, First Descents is in town for a month!

Join us for your chance to bid on a first date with some of the valley’s finest bachelors and bachelorettes. We’ll be raffling off great gear and goodies from Smith Optics, Glacier Distilling Whiskey, Glacier Raft Company, Montana Fly Co. First Dates for First Descents is free to attend — come one, come all!
