Fun Family Whitewater!

Camping along the banks of the remote North Fork of the Flathead River with added amenities to make your river experience truly comfortable! We bring along cots, camp chairs and hot showers to take the “rustic” out of your camping experience. Add to the fun by bringing along inflatable kayaks at no additional charge!

Day 1: Meet at Glacier Outdoor Center by 8:30 am. Here you will pack your gear into waterproof bags and prepare for the trip. Travel up the remote North Fork Road to the put-in for three or four days of river-running, fishing, camping and outdoor fun on the pristine North Fork of the Flathead River, the western boundary of Glacier National Park. The North Fork is famous for its spectacular views, crystal clear waters and an abundance and variety of wildlife. Bald eagles and osprey are common and floaters often spot black bear, moose, grizzly bear, elk and deer. After making sure your bags are properly packed and sealed, you will be fitted with a Coast Guard approved lifejacket followed by a briefing on your trip and safety issues. After your guides load the boats, you will head down river for a few miles before pulling over for a hearty lunch. Then it's back in the rafts again for an afternoon of paddling and floating. At the end of the day, camp will be set up along the river's edge. You can help with a little camp set-up, then try a little fishing stream-side, or just change clothes and relax as your guides prepare dinner. If the fresh air and rippling water haven't lulled you to sleep, there's plenty of tales to tell around the campfire.

Day 2-4: The next two or three days will include more fishing, floating, riverside meals, and rapids until late afternoon. Once you get back to our office, there will be time to pick out some souvenirs and pack up your memories of the special magic of the North Fork of the Flathead River.
